Yes, we do travel to destinations for engagement sessions too! We spent a weekend in Savannah, GA the beginning of August, where we shot Jill & Paul’s engagement session. Savannah is a beautiful old town, with hundreds of options to choose from for a photo shoot. On the day we planned the session unfortunately it was raining, so we had to reschedule and do a morning session instead of the afternoon session. But surprisingly the day we originally scheduled the session, the rain stopped after sunset, so we went out with Jill and Paul to shoot a few pictures at the Historic Waterfront, which came alive at night and after the rain stopped. Luck was on our side, because we caught the riverboat coming back to the dock all lit up. It was a magnificent sight, and a perfect photo op.
We had a craving for seafood, so we packed up for the night. The River Street is full of restaurants with amazingly good food, outdoor seating and a great view of the river. So we had a bite to eat then headed back to our hotel.
For the morning session we woke up early and headed to the Forsyth Park, a huge city park sitting on 30 acres in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia. We shot a few pictures around the fountain and a few of the couple having a champagne picnic under those old trees with Spanish moss on them. We also walked on the streets and found nice old buildings, and just had a lot of fun with Jill and Paul.
